A NURSERY in Runcorn has raised over £200 for Children in Need by waxing parent's legs.

Little Manor private day nursery, in Sandymoor, waxed Nick Bharat, Andrew Poles ad Mark Tinsley who are all fathers of children who attend the nursery.

With the help of the three men and generous donations, the nursery managed to raise £255.

The sponsored leg wax was part of a Children in Need fundraiser which also saw the Little Manor children and parents raising money with a bake sale.

£222 of the £255 raised for the charity came from Nick, Andrew and Mark’s fundraiser.

Little Manor Nursery manager, Carla Lawrenson, said: "We’re really lucky to have amazing parents at our nursery, so we knew they’d be up for a challenge with this year’s Children in Need fundraiser.

"Those parents who weren’t quite prepared to have their own legs waxed were more than happy to sponsor Nick, Andrew and Mark to have theirs done, so we managed to raise lots of money.

"There were some very funny facial expressions and some strange noises coming from all three dads, so it was hard not to laugh!

"I’d like to say thank you to our dads for their bravery and to everyone who helped us raise this fantastic amount for a very worthy cause."
