TWO cars have been stolen from the drive of a house in Widnes in an early morning raid.

Police say thieves broke into a house on Norlands Lane between 4am and 4.30am today, Monday.

The offenders stole the keys to the two vehicles parked on the driveway – a blue Audi A6 Le Mans TDI saloon with an 07 number plate and a black and grey Ford Ranger XLT Thunder pick-up truck with a 45 plate.

They then drove off towards Liverpool via Cronton Lane and then Hale Road.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the offenders or of the vehicles after they had been stolen.

DC Tim Brookes said: “The burglary took place in the early hours while the occupants were asleep inside the house.

“With both of the vehicles on the driveway having been stolen, we know that at least two offenders were involved.

“We are determined to catch the offenders and bring them to justice and I urge anyone who believes they have any information about them, the burglary or of the stolen vehicles to come forward.

“The vehicles are distinctive and I would like people to keep an eye out for them.

“We also want to hear from anyone who thinks they may have witnessed something that may aid our ongoing investigation or have CCTV or dashcam footage of the offenders or the stolen vehicles after they had been taken.”

Anyone with information that may help with the investigation should call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 245419, give the details via cheshire.police.uk/contact/general-enquiries or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
