HERE is a photograph featuring transport from yesteryear which has been shared with the Star.
Victor Davies, from the St Helens & Districts The Complete History group, shared this atmospheric picture featuring an old Trolley Bus.
The picture shows the bus turning into Baldwin Street in St Helens town centre from Cotham Street.
Victor said: "The wonderful days of the Trolley Bus.
"This one went up to the Ackers Lane Terminus at the top of Knowsley Road and then back into town.
"When I was a lad, I used to get the Trolley Bus into town at the stop near Knowsley Road School.
"I recall it was 2d for the fare."
