A MUM-OF-TWO has shown you should never give up on your dreams as she publishes her first book.
Emma-Jane Williams, 22, of Murdishaw, Runcorn, recently published I Didn’t Know, an 80-page novel, after almost giving up on her ambition.
She said: “I have always wanted to write a book, ever since I was in primary school, and I always had to have writing material in my room for whenever a story sprung into my mind.
“This never stopped as I grew older, however like most parents, once I had my children I felt like I didn’t have the time to pursue any of my hobbies outside of work anymore, so the idea of publishing even just one novel became a distant dream.
“This is not the case.
“You can do anything if you really put your mind to it and after taking a step back to look for times when I could slot in some light writing I was able to begin creating my first book.”
The story is written in the hand of Charlie, the main character.
He tries his best to keep a healthy balance with his family and his job but when a new colleague catches his attention, he must decide what really matters most in his life.
It took Emma three months to finish her novel.
She explained: “I didn’t have any idea of what was going to happen when I first started this story – I had no plans for the characters or plot ideas.
“I fully expect that there will be mistakes and I am more than grateful for any pointed out to me.”
Emma’s book is available on lulu.com in ebook or paperback and will soon be available on Amazon.
