A TEENAGER was pulled off his bike during a robbery in Widnes.

At around 10.45pm yesterday, Thursday, a 17-year-old boy was riding along the Black Path footpath near to the steps leading to Dundalk Road, when he was pulled off his bike by a male.

After the victim fell to the ground the man, along with another culprit, stole his bike and travelled in the direction of Widnes Golf Club in Highfield Road.

The man, who is believed to have got onto the victim’s bike, is described as slim, approximately 5ft, 8ins and was wearing a black coat with the hood pulled up.

The second person is also believed to be a man.

He was slim, wearing dark clothing with a bob hat and was riding what appeared to be a small black bike with white writing.

The stolen bike is black with red, yellow and orange markings.

Detective constable Vicki Abraham, of Widnes CID, said: “We’re really keen to speak to anyone who may have seen two people, with the stolen bike, in the area around the time the robbery took place.

“If you or anyone you know has any information about who is responsible, or where the bike is, please contact 101.”
