Body of Runcorn man found in Dutton pond
A MAN found dead in a pond in Dutton has now been identified by police, thanks to a public appeal.
At 11.25am on Saturday, the body of a man was found in a pond in land off Higher Lane.
The body has now been identified as a 44-year-old man from Runcorn, with police saying their are no suspicious circumstances.
DI Paul Hughes, of the Major Investigation Team, said: "Following extensive enquiries I can now confirm the body of a man found in a pond in Dutton has now been identified.
"His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers during this difficult time."
