BUTTERFLIES at home in one of Widnes' popular attractions need public support to secure new funding.
The Butterfly House at Victoria Park in Birchfield Road has been shortlisted for a grant from the Aviva Community Fund but must gain enough votes win the cash.
The funding would pay for a new butterfly house for the 2019 season to offer an a better experience for visiting families.
10,000 visitors flock to the attraction each year from May to September.
The Butterfly House is completely reliant on donations to stay open and members of the public who visit the Butterfly House often give donations when they are able to.
To show your support, register on the Aviva Community Fund website and click the 'vote' button next to the project you want to support.
To vote via social media click on the project through the Aviva website and click 'register and log in' and follow the instructions.
Voting closes on November 20 and each voter is allocated ten votes.
