A WIDNES man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy.
Jack Butterworth, of Finsbury Park, was one of five men arrested in dawn raids yesterday, Thursday, in relation to the murder of Speke teenager Brandon Regan.
The 22-year-old has since been charged with murder and is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court today, Friday.
Mr Regan was fatally stabbed on Critchley Road in Speke on Sunday, January 28, this year.
Detectives investigating his murder arrested five people yesterday morning, Thursday, during raids in Widnes, Speke and Belle Vale.
Thirty-three-year-old Ryan Buckley, of Speke, and 24-year-old Steven Jones, of Netherley, have also been charged with murder.
The pair are also due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court to face these charges this morning.
But men aged 32 and 25, both from Speke, who were arrested during the raids have been refused charge and released by police.
