A 68-YEAR-OLD man is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash in Runcorn.
Investigations are ongoing after the collision happened at 11.40pm on October 9 on Heath Road.
The pedestrian, a 68-year-old man, is currently in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
A 57-year-old man, from Runcorn, has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and dangerous driving.
He has since been released under investigation.
PC Liz Thompson said: “We are still trying to piece together exactly what happened yesterday and we need the public to come forward and help us with our enquiries.
“Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number IML 207947, or can contact us via the general inquiries section of our website.”
