A WIDNES shopping centre be will providing Halloween fun later this month to raise funds for charity.

Green Oaks Shopping Centre has free Halloween activities for the family on Saturday October 27 from 11am-4pm, to help raise money for Halton Haven Hospice.

Centre visitors can prepare for the scariest time of the year and transform into their favourite spooky Halloween characters, courtesy of a free face painter.

A Halloween horror photo booth will be available with visitors encouraged to step inside at their own peril and capture the spooktastic moment with a range of themed props.

Guests will get free copies of the photographs and are encouraged to share them on Green Oaks’ Twitter or Facebook page to be in with a chance to win prizes from Knowsley Safari Park and Green Oaks jeweller Neil & Barker.

All of the money raised will go to Halton Haven Hospice in Runcorn, funding their work caring for people with life limiting conditions.

Faye O’Neill, fundraiser from Halton Haven Hospice said: “It costs around £6,800 a day to run the hospice so we are extremely grateful to Green Oaks for helping us raise these vital funds with the fabulous events they organise.

"We rely on the generosity of people to ensure we can keep caring for those who need us so we hope that everyone comes along to the event to celebrate Halloween whilst also supporting the Haven.”
