GREEN Oaks Shopping Centre is supporting national guide dog week, by welcoming Widnes’s best loved guide dog Monty on Saturday.
Monty will be at Green Oaks in Widnes with his owners Linda and Matthew Mair, who run the Guide Dog charity, asking visitors to dig deep and help raise funds.
The donations received will go directly back to the charity and making a real difference to the services they provide.
Across Merseyside and Cheshire Guide Dogs are supporting more than 300 working guide dog partnerships. Each dog costs £5 per day to support and a cost of one guide dog is £56,000.
Matthew said: “We love visiting Green Oaks Shopping Centre, it’s a great way for us to showcase the work we do within the community. Monty always has a great time too, he is like a local celebrity.”
