CATALYST Science Discovery Centre and Museum in Widnes has received a National Lottery grant of £60,100.
Thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, the Catalyst; Past, Present, Future project at the museum on Mersey Road aims to develop a strategy to enable the trust to become more resilient.
Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum has archives and artefacts related to the birth of and growth of the chemical industry in the North West.
Catalyst also has a gallery which explores the industry through exhibits and interactive displays.
A firm of consultants will review the heritage interpretation and report on recommendations on improvements and the use of the collection for visitors.
