A CONCERNED member of the public contacted animal charity RSPCA over fears for the health and safety of three horses and a foal in Orford.

An RSPCA spokesperson said: “We were called to reports that a foal was collapsed in a field off Orford Road in Warrington but when we arrived the foal and three adults were running around and they appeared to be a healthy weight. There was water available and land to graze on.
“We are so grateful to people who report suspected animal suffering to us and we would like to reassure people we will always look into and, if necessary, investigate any complaints made to us about animal welfare.”
