A RUNCORN charity has benefitted from more than £3,000 of fundraising.
Stick 'n' Step was boosted by £3,132.50 raised bt Woods Squared Business Growth Accountant, based on Wirral.
The company donated money from its tenth annual summer barbecue and quiz event at Thornton Hall.
Alan Woods said, “We have been supporting Stick ‘n’ Step for a few years now and it was great to be able to raise such a fantastic amount for such a great charity and help to raise awareness of the work that they do.”
Janet Ratcliffe, Trusts & Grants Fundraiser for Stick ‘n’ Step, said, “We are extremely grateful to Alan and his company for all the support they give to us. This was the largest amount they have ever raised at the annual barbecue. It costs £4,500 a year to provide conductive education for each child and so this fantastic amount will really help to support a child with cerebral palsy helping them to learn many of the key life skills that most of us take for granted.”
Children attend sessions weekly or twice weekly at the charity's Runcorn and Wallasey centres.
