ALMOST 100 young hopefuls came to panto auditions at the Brindley Theatre.
The children all hope to tread the boards with the stars of Beauty and The Beast.
This is believed to be the largest ever turn out for the annual show.
Dazzling costumes, fabulous scenery and some truly magical surprises are just a few of the things successful nine to 18-year olds can now expect.
Professional principal actors will perform with three casts of children’s chorus.
Darren Maddison, from Polka Dot Pantomimes, which produces the show for Halton Council, said: "The standard was very strong and we are very happy with the successful 24."
Dame Rob Squire and actor Charlie Griffiths were recently revealed as returning to the cast for the magical tale.
They will join actor model and former Miss British Isles Rebecca Lake and theatre star Andrew Curphey, from Widnes in the production.
The three children’s casts will alternate performances.
Beauty And The Beast, presented by Polka Dot Pantomines, runs from December 10, to 13 January 13, 2019.
Tickets are available from the box office on 0151 907 8560 and thebrindley.org.uk.
