TEENAGERS wielding knives have terrorised young cyclists in two terrifying armed robberies in Runcorn.
A 14-year-old boy was threatened at knifepoint by a teenage boy on the busway on Saturday between 4.50pm and 5pm on Saturday.
The offender stole his bike and and rode off in the direction of Windmill Hill Avenue.
Another 14-year-old cyclist was held at knifepoint by a gang of four male teenagers near a canal bridge at Sandymoor between 3.15pm and 3.20pm on Sunday.
One armed with a knife demanded the boy hand over his bike but he managed to get away.
Detectives believe the two incidents are linked.
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of two robberies and released under investigation.
