I AM a 70-year-old pensioner.
I have my state pension. I also have a private pension which i get taxed on.
I am a school crossing patrol person and I pay tax on my job.
I don't get a full state pension I get a reduced one.
The Government says that the state pension is not taxed but it is because the amount is deducted from my tax allowance.
So to say that pensioners don't pay tax is a myth.
