AFTER reading a letter in the Runcorn World about problems drivers are having with the Mersey Gateway tolls, I thought I should tell you it's not just one person.
When the bridge first opened I was not happy that I would have to pay to cross the river so I decided to pay through Payzone.
Before the bridge opened I started to looked for Payzone outlets and I had no problem finding them.
The first thing I must tell you is when I used the crossing I always paid before I drove over the bridge.
My problems started on April 1.
I used a Payzone outlet that I don't normally use for two crossings.
A week later I used the same Payzone outlet on April 8 for two further crossings.
On April 9 I received two letters telling me I never paid for crossing on April 1 and 3.
The same thing happened on April 17, telling me I had not paid for two crossings on April 8 and 9.
As you can imagine I was furious knowing I'd paid for the crossings and had receipts.
After phoning Merseyflow and going to the walk-in centre they were no help.
I have made representations for four so-called non payments.
