A WIDNES family business hopes to raise thousands of pounds for Parkinson's UK.

Neil and Barker jewellers in Green Oaks shopping centre is hosting its fifth charity golf day.

Last year, business owners Alison and Mike Aldridge raised more than £4,000 for the Alzheimer's Society.

This year’s event is already fully booked for teams and will be teeing off at Delamere Forest Golf Club on Thursday, May 17.

To make it an even bigger success, the jewellers are now inviting other local businesses to become involved.

From placing a tee advert to donating a raffle prize or sponsoring one of the challenges on the day, there is a host of ways for companies to support the event.

Alison Aldridge said: “We’re very proud to be at the heart of the Widnes community here at Green Oaks and we’d love for local businesses to come forward and be part of this event; having fun, making contacts and raising lots of money for Parkinson’s UK."

The charity golf day is sponsored by Clarity and Success.
