I KNOW how Halton Council can save money - by changing their lettings policy after allowing yet another takeaway food shop to take over the old Post Office building on High Street in Runcorn old town.
This three storey building with a vast car park could have been used for so much more, such as a department store or a decent priced supermarket or similar.
The Coop is well known for charging high prices on its items.
I feel the council just rents out to anybody with no policy.
Runcorn old town is now made up of food takeaways, charity shops and estate agents.
I would like our Halton MP Derek Twigg to look into this lack of choice for his constituents.
