Firefighters tackle suspected arson attack at flat on Dickson Close in Widnes
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a suspected arson attack at a Widnes flat.
Crews found a first floor flat on Dickson Close well alight when they arrived shortly before 11am yesterday.
Firefighters used one hose reel jet and four breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
There were no reports of any injuries at the scene and the crewswere in attendance for approximately one and a half hours.
The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
