CHILDREN across Halton are dressing up as their favourite characters to celebrate World Book Day.
Pupils at St Michael's Catholic Primary School in Ditton chose The Day The Crayons Quit as their theme.
Children and teachers interpreted the book with fun and imagination.
Sue McMullen, from the school, said: "Every class had a colour and the children have made a fantastic effort and joined in with enthusiasm."
