SAINTS Peter and Paul Catholic College in Widnes remains closed because both boilers in the school are broken.
Around 1,500 pupils and staff were individually notified about the closure and information posted on the school's website.
Principal Wendy White said: "Unfortunately we have been informed by the heating engineers that they are not able to complete the repairs to the boilers by tomorrow.
"They will be working over the weekend on this problem and fully expect that we should be able to open college on Monday 5th March.
"My apologies for the inconvenience that this may have caused.
"I will be in close contact with the engineers throughout the weekend."
Pupils are asked to keep a close eye on the website for the most up to date information.
