A POLICE officer has saved the life of a swan after discovering it roaming round a main road in Runcorn.
PC Adam Kenright found the swan in the middle of the Bridgewater Expressway near the Ten Flight Lock pub last night.
A police spokesman said: "At 8.32pm on Thursday 8 February officers were called to reports of a swan on the Bridgewater Expressway near the Ten Lock pub.
"Officers attended and rescued the swan and put it back in the canal."
