A RUNCORN mum has had her head shaved to support her sister who is battling cancer.
Mum-of-two Linda Healey decided to shed her locks when she heard her sister Sheila Tristram, 70, could lose her hair through treatment.
Linda, 66, of The Hove, Murdishaw, said: “Our mum Maggie died when I was only 10 and Sheila was 15.
“We were separated as I went to live with my aunt and she went to live with gran but I have always looked on her as a motherly figure.
“She has always guided me through life.”
Mum-of-two Sheila was diagnosed with secondary cancer before Christmas and is now undergoing chemotherapy.
“She was a bit low about losing her hair so I said I’ll shave mine off and we’ll both be the same.
“I’d like to thank all my family and friends for their support.”
Linda has raised £120 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
