TWO burglars forced their way into a Runcorn takeaway in an early morning raid.
The pair smashed into the premises on Church Street through a back door.
Once inside the building, the men stole a safe and a till containing approximately £300, before fleeing the scene.
The break-in happened at around 5am on Friday, December 8.
Today, officers released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection wiht the burglary.
Detective Constable Calvin Fletcher said: “Enquires in relation to this incident are ongoing and as part of my investigation I’m keen to speak to the men featured in the CCTV images as I believe that they may hold vital.
"I urge the men, or anyone who recognises him, to contact the team here at Runcorn on 101 so we can progress with our investigation.”
Anyone with any information in relation to the incidents, or anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image, is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 269 of 8/12/2017.
