Police called to fight involving a machete and knife at Runcorn Town Hall Park
POLICE were called to a fight in Runcorn Town Hall park involving a machete and a knife.
Runcorn CID received reports of a brawl on Boston Avenue at around 4am on Saturday after reports of a disturbance.
Police say two men and a larger group of young people had become involved in an altercation and during this, one person was assaulted with a machete.
Two people have reported receiving minor injuries as a result of the altercation.
A machete has been recovered and police have spoken to a number of those involved to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.
No one has been arrested at this stage.
