FAMILIES are invited to plant a snowdrop in memory of a loved one at Runcorn’s Norton Priory.
The snowdrop walk takes place from 11am to 3pm on Sunday, February 18, followed by tea and cake.
It is a special event to raise funds for Child Bereavement UK, a charity which supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.
Individual snowdrops will be on sale on the day and a book of remembrance donated by a bereaved family will be available to sign.
There will also be a children’s treasure hunt where youngsters can explore the walled garden before receiving a fun-filled goody bag at the end, and refreshments will be available from the traditional straw bale building.
Entrance to the event is free. However donations for the snowdrops will be gratefully received.
Only guide dogs and hearing dogs are permitted within the walled garden.
Child Bereavement UK has a centre on High Street in Runcorn and provides support to bereaved children, young people and families.
For more information about the charity’s support, training, volunteering or fundraising visit childbereavementuk.org or call the Runcorn office on 01928 577164.
