THE Mersey Gateway bridge is helping to attract new investment into Runcorn, say property developers.

Be Group, on behalf of Pin Properties, believes the improved road network helped them to find new occupants for two warehouses.

Powerlift Materials Handling Ltd has bought 12,510 sq ft premises on Arkwright Road on Astmoor Industrial Estate.

Air Parts Limited has leased a 3,314 sq ft unit on Boleyn Court in Manor Park.

Joint Letting agent Simon Roddam of Be Group said: “Manor Park and Astmoor are in the heart of a thriving business community in Runcorn.

“Their links to the north west motorway network have helped us secure a number of new occupiers to the Pin Properties portfolio.

“Both of the recent transactions we have concluded have been with inward investors, highlighting the attraction of a healthy supply of product in Runcorn and the recent road link enhancement provided by the Mersey Gateway bridge.”

Manor Park holdings, which includes Thermo Fisher, KRSS, Bay Linx and Cheshire Mouldings, will soon be joined by other businesses.

Lee Egerton, asset manager of Pin Properties said: “We work closely with occupiers to understand the specifics of their operational requirements.

“Our recently refurbished warehouse premises in Runcorn are proving to be an attractive offering in the market.

“We have continued to attract occupiers into the area against stiff competition.
