BIG-HEARTED workers at a Widnes call centre have donated Christmas gifts to the homeless and vulnerable.
The HR team at Argos Customer Management Centre on Royal Avenue choose a different charity to support every year.
Each member of staff donated £10 towards luxury food, wine and confectionery items to make up three festive hampers which were raffled to raise money to buy gifts.
A spokesman for Argos said: “In light of the ever increasing number of homeless, destitute and vulnerable people who find themselves in these horrendous circumstances we chose to support a wonderful local charity called Shoebox full of Love.”
On top of personal contributions, employees raised £1,000 in less than a week and made 40 gift bags for men, women, children and babies.
Sarah Keating, a volunteer worker for Shoebox full of Love collected the donations and said she was overwhelmed by the generosity of Argos employees.
