POLICE in Widnes say they have received reports of cold callers knocking on doors claiming to be deaf.
Officers took to social media to say they' had received reports and that certain addresses seem to have been targeted.
The last reported call was in Ditton.
Had a couple of reports of persons calling to addresses (last one on Ditton) suggesting they are deaf, asking for money. Only appear to be selecting certain addresses. Call us on 101 if you see them (not if you read of it on Social Media :-) ) thanks.

Cases of a deaf cold caller trying to sell paintings had been reported in St Helens earlier in the week.
He had been advised by officers to stop and police said no criminal offence had been committed.
Officers in Widnes say they are not "taking it for granted" that it is the same people involved.
Police are asking anyone who sees them to call 101.
Wow! The power of Social media eh? - 're. the doorstep sellers...we never managed to catch up with them. All of your posts here have been read. Phew! We do liaise with our Merseyside colleagues but we don't take it for granted that it's the same persons involved. Thank You.
