A CRASH closed two lanes of Watkinson Way in Widnes this morning.
Police caught one driver jumping red traffic lights near the scene of the accident.
The dual carriageway is now clear and flowing again.
Cheshire Police has confirmed they were called to a collision near Tesco on Lugsdale Road in Widnes involving a car and a van at 6.45am.
Officers attended and two lanes of Watkinson Way were closed.
The road re-opened shortly after 8am.
Widnes police tweeted: ‘One driver thought it would be sensible to run the red light near the collision. Reported due care'.
