I HAVE had a change of heart on the Mersey Gateway bridge.
Like most people I hated the fact we would have to pay a toll on the new bridge.
But I knew I simply had to put up with it as I need to cross the Mersey on a daily basis for a working journey that took me an hour in the morning and an hour and 50 minutes at night.
What a transformation to my journey the new bridge has made, making it just 25 minutes each way every day.
That is two hours a day less in my car.
The bridge is worth every penny in my opinion.
I just wish they had built it years ago so I didn’t have to waste 20 years of my life stuck in the awful traffic.
