I AM writing to ask if your readers know about the large collection of equipment stockpiled in Runcorn, intended for use in procedure to extract shale gas.
There is enough to run two sites at the same time.
These procedures have unhealthy effects.
Growing numbers of the general public are becoming aware of this and are lobbying to ban them from local areas, the north west and ultimately the UK as a whole.
Already in certain places this opinion has been disregarded and the procedures have been carried out.
What about democracy?
Procedures leave land and water poisoned and residents suffer health hazards.
This is all strongly denied by the companies involved in the process, who say it is safe.
I am a member of the general public. I work for a living, have a family and am concerned for future generations.
