IN the letter headlined shaping future in last week’s World, Mrs Gibbons complains that the highways and transport survey sampled only 3,300 of Halton’s 126,500 residents.
She incorrectly asserts that this represents only around 0.03 per cent of the borough’s population.
In fact this represents 2.61 per cent of the population (3,300 ÷ 126,500 x 100 = 2.61 per cent).
I hope the clarification of this fact will prevent any other readers having the same misapprehension about the matter.
