FIREFIGHTERS were called to Runcorn after a van was 'deliberately' set on fire last night, Saturday.
Crews attended The Tithings at 11.47pm after a transit van was on fire.
The van, which was adjacent to a garage door that was damaged by the blaze, was ‘well alight’ when they arrived.
A spokesman said: "Firefighters, one wearing a breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"The crews then checked the adjacent garage for any signs of fire using a thermal imaging camera.
"The fire was believed to have been started deliberately."
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
