A GIFTED Runcorn singer needs your help to make his dream come true.

Aeron Jones beat thousands of hopefuls to get through to the semi final of Open Mic UK at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester on Sunday.

The 31-year-old now hopes to get into the final as a wildcard but he needs your votes by midnight on Wednesday.

Aeron, from Halton Lodge, said: “I want to be a professional singer.

“It would mean everything to me if I got through.”

He performed Anthem from the musical Chess in the semi-final and loves musical theatre.

“I didn’t start singing until I was 26,” said the former Grange Comprehensive pupil Aeron, who works at Cineworld in Runcorn.

“I was a late convert to music didn’t have the confidence but now I absolutely love singing and want to make my living through music.

“I have had some classical vocal training and done some amateur dramatics.

“I’d be over the moon to get into the final.”

Today, Aeron discovered good news.

He said: “I'm top of the leader board. It's looking good!

“They've said they're keeping voting open until Wednesday at midnight so people need to keep voting for me.”
