NEW chill out sessions are giving people a feel good factor at two Halton libraries.
People are encouraged to relax, browse through books, papers and magazines and make friends at wellbeing Wednesdays.
Scrabble and colouring books are available in the library.
The initiative was launched on World Mental Health Day and proved so popular it will continue at Widnes Library and Halton Lea Library every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm.
Halton Cllr Phil Harris, board member for libraries, said: “Research has shown that reading for just six minutes a day is all it takes to reduce stress levels by 68 per cent.”
It is hoped the sessions will provide an antidote to busy lifestyles and encourage people to take some time out for themselves.
