CHILDREN at a Runcorn school discovered the importance of bees.
Pupils at Bridgewater Park spent the day at Norton Priory studying bees as part of the ‘Bee Amazing: Pollination for the Nation Project’ from Postcode Local Trust.
Some of the Castlefields youngsters dressed as bee keepers by wearing lots of protective clothing to stop them from getting stung.
Bridgewater Park Principal Paul Holloway said: “The children had a brilliant day learning all about bees.
“The outdoor learning opportunity really helped the children to understand the importance of bees.
“I wonder if any of them will venture into bee keeping when they are older.”
