EXCITEMENT is mounting as the finalists hoping to become Miss Halton Pride have been chosen.
Runcorn & Widnes World readers can select their favourite contestant by text and phone voting until May 10.
A one year modelling course is the top prize in this prestigious competition, a heat for Miss England.
"We want to get the local community involved," said organiser, African fashion designer, Nadia Fitzsimon, of Widnes.
"There will be an extra prize for the winner of the text vote, announced on the night."
A panel of judges will select Miss Halton Pride at a grand finale on Friday, May 11, at 7.30pm, in the Ford Social Club, Cronton Lane, Widnes.
Tickets priced £15/£12 concessions are available from the club and Riverside College.
The reigning Miss England, Eleanor Glynn will be a special guest with the Mayor and Mayoress of Halton.Halton Haven Hospice is the event's chosen charity.
