TWO people have been taken to hospital after a lorry overturned on the M56.
Crews were called to the scene near junction 12 in Runcorn at 10.20am this morning, Saturday.
The HGV was found on its side near the westbound exit slip road.
A Cheshire Fire spokesman added: "Two people were trapped inside the cab and after consulting with paramedics, crews helped them to safety using a short extension ladder.
"They were then handed over into the care of the ambulance service."
The road is still closed due to recovery work.
