HUNDREDS of residents enjoyed free celebrations on Saturday to mark the first decade of The Brindley Arts Centre.

TV celebrity Kim Woodburn from ‘How Clean Is Your House?’ and ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ and Hollyoaks actress Melissa Wells joined the birthday bash.

They both star in this year’s panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and chatted to fans and signed autographs.

Musicians entertained visitors on the terrace whilst party food was served.

People were able to watch free performances, dance workshops and dress up in costumes.

Comedian Jason Manford played a sell-out gig during a week of special shows leading up to the anniversary weekend.

Halton Clr Phil Harris, board member for the arts, said: "It was a real community event with actors, singers, children and families all celebrating with us."
