HALTON residents are invited to consider becoming a hospital governor.
Halton and Warrington Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking volunteers to represent two areas in Runcorn and one in Widnes.
Public governors help guide the hospitals on future strategy and hold them to account.
They also carry out unannounced ward quality and safety inspections and help staff to engage with the community at events and focus group meetings with patients.
David Trowbridge, a Runcorn hospital governor said: "I am passionate about the NHS and wanted to ensure our communities are provided with high quality medical and nursing care."
Governors must be a member of the foundation trust to stand. Membership is free. Visit whh.nhs.uk for a nomination form which must be returned by October 7.
