ENERGETIC staff at an Italian restaurant flipped more than 250 pizzas and raised £260 for Sport Relief.
The team, which included staff from Pesto in Widnes, shook cocktails and walked two miles to support the charity.
Melanie Mooney, general manager of Pesto Widnes, said: “We’re astounded by the amount of local support we received for our event, especially the generosity of many of our customers which meant we were able to raise such a significant amount for Sport Relief.
“I’m sure quite a few drivers were a bit confused when they saw us pizza tossing and cocktail shaking but we wanted to add a little bit of extra fun to our charity fun.”
They staged the charity event at Pesto at Cabbage Hall in Tarporley.
