A FAMOUS children’s book illustrator spent a day demonstrating his fascinating skills at a Widnes school.
Korky Paul created a special cartoon for each class at Our Lady’s RC Primary School in Clincton Avenue.
Youngsters were intrigued to watch him at work.
Head teacher Paul Towey said: ““It was a really good day. The children really enjoyed it.
“Korky Paul worked with every class. He told them a story and read them his book, ‘Winnie The Witch’.
“He then drew a cartoon for each class. We have had them all framed and will put them up in the hall.”
After school, dad-of-two Korky, aged 62, signed children’s copies of his books and chatted to parents.
The visit was arranged by music co-ordinator Paul Delaney, who teaches at the school.
