MAN and The Echo will be playing a Christmas homecoming show as their final gig of 2019.

The Birchwood band have teamed up with Warrington Music [WAM] for a concert at the town’s newest events venue, Live Bar, on Saturday, December 14.

Man and The Echo have been enjoying a breakthrough year after releasing their acclaimed second album, Men of the Moment, touring with The Divine Comedy and collaborating with celebrated artist and satirist Coldwar Steve.

They are also well travelled on the festival circuit having played Glastonbury, Kendal Calling, The Great Escape, Reading Festival, Secret Garden Party and Tramlines.

The four-piece, whose fans include Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, Radio X’s John Kennedy and 6 Music’s Shaun Keaveny, will be joined by Saytr Play, who recently performed at Rivfest, and Uno Mas, a new band from Lymm.

Lee Harman, who founded [WAM], said: “I’m delighted to be bringing Man and The Echo back to Warrington.

“Their show sold out in March at [WAM] Festival and since then their new album has received great plaudits from reviewers and fans, and they are currently playing to thousands alongside The Divine Comedy. I also knew we had to get Saytr Play on board as their live shows are unmissable and their smart pop songs will complement the night well.”

The gig will also toast a successful year for [WAM] after 2019 saw the music platform distribute 1,200 copies of its magazine across the north west, team up with Rivfest, Warrington Wolves and Radio Warrington and host its own festival to almost 1,000 revellers.

Lee, who attended Woolston High, added: “Our show at Live Bar on Saturday is our chance to say thank you to those who support us and fans to have one last blow out before end of the year.”
