WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 New Ln. Appleton & Chapel Rd. Penketh (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2020 Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: New Ln - From its jet. with Lumb Brook Rd to its jet. with Grappenhall Ln; Chapel Rd - From its jet. with Warrington Rd to its jet. with Falmouth Dr. The Order will be effective from 26th October 2020 for 3 weeks between 9am & 4:30pm in the school holidays & 9:30am & 3:30pm and/or 7pm & 1am outside of the school holidays, as & when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative routes will be New Ln via Lumb Brook Rd, Grappenhall Ln & vice versa & Chapel Rd via Warrington Rd, Widnes Rd, Tannery Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required for carriageway surfacing. Ref: High/2159



The Borough of Warrington (Lymm Road & Laskey Lane) (Revocation of 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2020 Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Sections 1,2,4 & Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 7th October 2020. The effect of the Order will be to revoke The Borough of Warrington (B5157 Lymm Road & Laskey Lane) (40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2009 in its entirety, therefore the roads specified in the said Order revert back to being a restricted road with a 30 mph speed limit. The Order will be effective from 8th October 2020. Deposited documents may be viewed on-line at

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from 7th October 2020, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
