ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 Covid-19 Response - Bank Street/Academy Way (Prohibition of All Vehicles) Temporary Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce the following restrictions:-
1. To prohibit all vehicles including ridden pedal cycles & horse-drawn vehicles in the lengths of road specified in Column 1 of the Schedule to this Notice to the extent specified in Column 2 of the said Schedule. The order will be effective from 3rd August 2020 for 1 week between the hours of 7pm & 5am as & when indicated by traffic signs on site. The alternative routes will be as follows: Lower Bank St Northbound via Mersey St & Academy St; Academy Way Eastbound via Friars Gate, Barbauld St, Bridge Foot, Mersey St & Academy St. Access to premises will be under control of the contractor as the progress of the works allows. The restrictions are required for alterations in connection with the Bridge St Quarter Phase 3 & to facilitate COVID-19 response & recovery measures.
