ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (Temporary Prohibition and Restriction of Traffic In Relation To The Royal Cheshire Show, Pickmere and Tabley) Orders 2019

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make orders, containing the following prohibitions and restrictions, to enable the management of volumes of traffic arising from the Royal Cheshire Show and thereby avoid the likelihood of danger to the public:

1. A speed limit of 40mph to be in force on the A556 Chester Road from its junction with the M6 Motorway at Junction 19 to the Cheshire West and Chester Council administrative boundary between Tuesday 18 June and Wednesday 19 June 2019.



2. The prohibition of all traffic in Flittogate Lane, Tabley from its junction with Pickmere Lane to its junction with A556 Chester Road from Tuesday 18th June to Wednesday 19 June 2019.

3. A lane closure will be in force on School Lane, Pickmere between Tuesday 18 June and Wednesday 19 June 2019.

4. The prohibition of waiting on the following lengths of roads between Tuesday 18 June and Wednesday 19 June 2019;

i) Pickmere Lane, Pickmere - throughout its entire length;



ii) School Lane, Pickmere - throughout its entire length;



iii) Budworth Road, Pickmere - between its junctions with Pickmere Lane and Frog Lane;



iv) Frog Lane, Pickmere - between its junctions with School Lane and Budworth Road



v) Park Lane, Pickmere - throughout its entire length;



vi) Flittogate Lane, Pickmere - throughout its entire length



The alternative routes for traffic will be as directed by signs/traffic management operatives on site.

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 S118, NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER (Public Footpath No. 1 (part) Parish of Holmes Chapel) Public Path Extinguishment Order 2019

On 18 April 2019, the Cheshire East Borough Council confirmed the above named Order. The effect of the above named Order, as confirmed, is to extinguish the following Public Right of Way:

That length of Public Footpath No. 1 in the Parish of Holmes Chapel commencing at O.S. grid reference SJ 7591 6665 and running in a generally south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 41 metres to O.S. grid reference SJ 7589 6661 Copies of the Order and plan have been deposited and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours in the Rights of Way Unit at the office of the undersigned and at the offices of Cheshire East Borough Council, Westfields, Middlewich Road, Sandbach, CW11 1 HZ. Copies of the Order and the Plan may be obtained free of charge from the undersigned.

The Order became operative on 18 April 2019, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act within six weeks of 30 May 2019, make an application to the High Court.
