When will the councillors who have the authority as to where and what is being built realise that once again they have ignored the voices of the Runcorn people by building a Tesco’s at Widnes?

the Beechwood pond. Both young dogs were attacked by a German Shepherd dog which was off lead and aggressive. Both dogs also required treatment by a vet.

IF, like me, you love the sight of our beautiful local countryside, you may be shocked to learn that the Government has published a new set of planning rules which could give an automatic green
light to any new development in the countryside outside the most protected sites such as National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

THE loss of the vascular department at Warrington Hospital is a blow to all. But some of us can remember it was Warrington that turned Halton Hospital practically into a cottage hospital by taking
almost everything, from bed linen, beds to ward/theatre staff, plunging Halton – I was informed at the time – into the red and putting themselves into the black. So what goes around comes around
and let’s hope they don’t lose any more departments. As my wife is still waiting for x-ray results (it has been three weeks) from Halton, maybe Warrington should start giving stuff back – we need
it. Runcorn resident
